The clear Garrensee lies in a protected area. Dogs must remain on a lead and are not permitted at the designated bathing spots; SUP boards and other craft are also prohibited.

The official regional site lists circular walks on Zecher Werder and Seedorfer Werder. This is a sensitive landscape, so signposted routes and local notices take priority.
