Fascination Island City
Ratzeburg is surrounded by water and connected to the mainland via dams. The imposing Ratzeburg Cathedral, the museums, and the historic architecture make every visit an experience.
Active by and on the Water
Lake Ratzeburg is a paradise for sailors, rowers, and swimmers. Rent a boat, take a boat trip, or circle the island city on the lakeside paths. Our holiday home offers the perfect retreat after an active day.
Culture & Museums in Ratzeburg
Ratzeburg is a city of culture: The A. Paul Weber Museum houses Germany's most significant collection of critical graphics. Equally worth seeing are the Duchy of Lauenburg District Museum and the Ernst Barlach works in the cathedral. A walk around the cathedral peninsula offers magnificent views. The city is also world-famous as a rowing stronghold – the international rowing regatta on Lake Küchensee is an annual highlight.
Boat Rental & Gastronomy by the Lake
Experience the island city from the water: Rentals for pedal boats, canoes, and stand-up paddling boards can be found directly on Lake Ratzeburg. If you prefer it more leisurely, take a boat trip. Afterwards, restaurants on the lakeside promenade (e.g., Seehof, Inselblick) and ice cream parlors invite you to linger – the evening atmosphere by the lake is particularly incomparable.
